My name is Katie Francis and I am an award-winning media professional based in Philadelphia.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a minor in Sports Communication and Media from Rowan University. This website is a display of my writing and multimedia work as a content creator and journalist.
Headlines
From March to September of 2024, I served as Creative Services Assistant at the Wilmington Blue Rocks. In this position, I co-managed the MiLB team's social media accounts, photographed games and events, and wrote articles for the team's website.
Along with working with the Wilmington Blue Rocks, I have found a passion for online content creating, specifically surrounding Philadelphia sports. Whether it's relatable, viral TikToks or posts on X, I love interacting and engaging with Philadelphia sports fans.
I spent six months as one of three Assistant Editors at Del Val Media. I began my career with my first job as an Associate Editor for ClutchPoints, a sports news website. There, I was responsible for writing, editing, and publishing my own stories. I was honored for my work in hosting and producing a radio news report by the Alliance for Women in Media. I was awarded a 2021 Gracie Award under the Radio Student Honorees category.
